Entitlement, At A Glance

Under Police Regulations 2003 Annex O (Regulation 33), as amended from 1 April 2025: officers below superintendent start on 25 days and rise with service length, reaching 30 days at the top. Superintendents and Chief Superintendents get a flat 31 days regardless of service length; anyone above Chief Superintendent gets 35. Direct Entry Inspectors sit on their own separate scale, slightly ahead of the standard-promotion route at equivalent service length.

Officers appointed before 1 April 2025 and those appointed on or after it sit on genuinely different tables — the amendment restructured the service bands rather than uniformly adding days. The calculator handles both automatically, including the 2025/26/27 phased increase for the pre-2025 cohort.
