Police Jobs in the
East Midlands
5 forces covering Derby, Chesterfield, Swadlincote, Ilkeston, Buxton and the surrounding area — with live vacancies and what each force actually pays.
On 1 October 2026 the national joining the police website listed 4 of these 5 forces as recruiting police constables : Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire. Police staff and PCSO roles are advertised separately on each force's site. For jobs near you, start with the force that covers where you live or want to work.
East Midlands forces recruit steadily rather than in large bursts, and several run their own careers systems rather than a shared platform. All five are on the national pay scale with no regional supplement.
