What is in the pack

  • A full civilian CV

Headline, profile, key skills and every role you give us rewritten for civilian employers, with your rank kept as your job title. Each bullet notes what a reference or vetting check would confirm.

  • A cover letter

Three short paragraphs for your first-choice sector, with [placeholders] for the employer and job.

  • LinkedIn headline and About section

Written from the same facts, with clearance levels and operational detail kept off your public profile.

  • Three sector versions

Investigations and fraud, compliance and regulation, security and risk by default. Swap in public sector enforcement, HR and workplace investigations or operations management.

  • Five interview stories

In STAR form, from your own work only. Where your notes stop, you get a short list of what to add, never an invented outcome.

  • Honest wording for a hard history

If you were medically retired, had a gap, left under investigation or were dismissed: a CV line, an optional cover letter sentence and a truthful interview answer.

  • A salary target

Your current cash package, what a year of police pension is worth and your floor, built in your browser from your own figures, linked to the salary match calculator.

  • Downloads

CV as PDF and Word, cover letter as Word and everything as text. Redo it for each job for 12 months.

Checked in your browser first. Leave out names, places and case details.

Tell us what you did

Write it the way you would tell a colleague. Jargon is fine: we translate it. We only ever write from what you put here, so the more real detail and real numbers you give, the stronger it gets. Your answers stay in this browser tab until you press the button.

About you

Never sent to us or the AI.

Town, phone, personal email, LinkedIn. Never sent.

Your roles, most recent first

References confirm this, so keep it real.

Caseload, team size, budgets, results. Leave out names, places and case details.

Commendations, results, things you set up or improved.

With years if you know them. PIP2, tutor, PEACE tier, degree, first aid.

For example 'MV until 2025' or 'SC 2019 to 2024'.

Three sector versions (choose up to 3)

The first one you tick sets the main CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.

Salary target: your police pay (optional, never sent)

London weighting, for example.

Unsocial hours, on-call or location payments.

Add at least one role with a few lines about what you did.

£39.99 once. No subscription, no auto-renewal, 12 months' access, 14-day refund. Your words go to Google's Gemini AI service to write the pack and come straight back to this page. We do not store them, log them or use them to train AI. Privacy policy.

Four checks between the AI and your CV

A former officer's CV is read by people who check: your force will give a reference. Many employers in investigations and security run their own vetting. Generic AI CV tools can add things you never did. In a 2024 survey reported by Staffing Industry Analysts, 76% of UK hiring leaders said they had seen AI-written CVs with false information.

  1. 1 The instructionsThe writer is told to use only facts you give, keep your rank, keep your hedges and use [placeholders] instead of guessing numbers.
  2. 2 A second checkA separate pass compares every sentence with your own words. A sentence that says more than you did is rewritten as a whole from your own facts or taken out. Either way, you are shown what changed.
  3. 3 A hard rule in codeAny number you did not give becomes a [bracket]. Any qualification, accreditation or clearance you never mentioned is removed with its sentence.
  4. 4 A final proofreadEvery sentence is checked for broken grammar before you see it. Anything that does not read as a complete sentence is repaired from its own words or dropped.

Private by design

  • Checked before it leaves your browser. The confidentiality check flags operation names, case details, people, addresses, references, covert tactics and police system names. Items marked "Remove" block sending until you deal with them.
  • Sent once, kept nowhere. Your answers go to Google's Gemini AI service to write the pack and the result comes straight back to this page. We do not save your answers or your pack, we do not log them and we do not use them to train AI.
  • Some things are never sent. Your name, contact line and salary figures stay in your browser and only appear in your downloads.
  • Kept in this tab only. Your draft and your last pack are kept in this browser tab's session storage so a refresh or the payment step does not lose them. Closing the tab clears them, so download your pack.

Know your salary number first

Police pay is more than basic pay: allowances, overtime and a pension that grows by 1/55.3 of your pensionable pay for every year in the 2015 scheme. A civilian employer only has to put 3% of qualifying earnings into a workplace pension. Before you apply, work out the civilian salary that really matches with the ex-police salary match calculator.

Questions

How much does the Ex-Police CV Pack cost?

£39.99, paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. You get 12 months' access to write and rewrite your pack. The 14-day refund policy applies.

Is what I type stored?

No. Your answers stay in your browser tab until you press the button. They are then sent to Google's Gemini AI service to write your pack, which comes straight back to the page. We do not store or log your answers or your pack. We do not use them to train AI. We keep only a daily count of how many packs your account has written, to apply the limit. Your name, contact line and salary figures are never sent.

Will it make things up to make my CV look better?

It is built not to. It writes only from what you tell it. A second check rewrites or removes any sentence it cannot match to your words. Code turns any number you did not give into a [bracket]. What was removed is listed for you. You should still read every line, because you are the one who has to stand behind it.

I was dismissed. Can it help?

Yes, honestly. It will not describe a dismissal as a resignation or help you hide it. It writes accurate titles and dates for your CV and a short, truthful interview answer from your own account. It also explains when you have to disclose.

I am still serving. Can I use it?

Yes. Use your own device and time. The pack reminds you about notifying business interests and your force's social media policy. The guide covers notice and post-service rules.

What should I leave out of my answers?

Names or initials of anyone from a case, operation names, addresses, exact incident dates, reference numbers, system names and anything covert. The confidentiality check flags these in your browser before anything is sent.

Does it guarantee interviews or a job?

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. It gives you a clear, truthful CV in the language employers use. Results depend on the roles, the market and you.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free preview writes your own CV headline and translates one of your own lines. The free translator also turns your duties into civilian wording for any sector.
